A Wet Climb – Bogor

A Wet Climb – Bogor

Today I write about my first group trip. It was very eventful and active – so bring some energy 🙂 It goes to Bogor, to be exact, to the Bogor Safari Park. This is the biggest safari park in Indonesia. It is located in the district of Cisarua, Bogor Regency. The unique thing about this place is that you can drive around in a private car or bus provided by the safari park to get close to the animals. But this time I did SAFARI TREK- where you can see the animals up close. While there I also studied different medicinal plants, visited Safari Poo Paper & Composting, and also did OUTBOUND.

This trekking safari is done in the wilderness. You go through the forest and past small rivers around the safari park. The distance I traveled is 3 km. The road is not a smooth asphalt road, but like in a forest, a path full of trees. You also have to climb and descend from hills. The landscape is very diverse, with rocks, dry land, grass, tree branches, rain puddles… you will surely burn off some calories hahaha

If you look at the route with the hut you may think that the 1.5km is over quickly…. but the route is not so easy and varied. On all the rides, the most fun is seeing the animals up close. There really is something for everyone though and you’ll be happy. When we were done, we went to the cabin for lunch because we were too tired. After that, the program continued with OUTBOUND. The outdoor activities were another highlight. I had a lot of fun on the water slides – even though it was very cold 😀 The rides offered included a water ropes course, 3 rope bridges, a canyon net, a flying fox, and a water slide. Participants also had the opportunity to visit the breeding of java leopards and Timor deer.

The journey continues to the prosecutor’s waterfall. This trip makes me very tired because to get to the waterfall you have to go up again. If you decide to go to the waterfall after the track you can pass by the panda place. But we couldn’t enter it because it is not included in our tour. Besides being fun, this activity is certainly very safe because there is a guide accompanying you during trekking. The guide can also provide you with insights about the vegetation of medicinal plants encountered during the trip.

There I was told that there is food for pandas and other animals in the safari park from the forest there. Besides, the plants there are protected. The location of Jaksa waterfall is near the cowboy show place…. so up again – the distance is about 1.5 km from the main entrance. Above the Cowboy Show place there is a special parking place for Curug Jaksa and from there you have to walk about 500 meters.

The height of the Jaksa waterfall is 45 meters. With the flow of the water, which is not too strong, visitors can not only take photos but also play with the water under the waterfall. The water of Curug Jaksa is very cool because it comes from the foot of Gede Pangrango mountain. If you are lucky, you can also see local wildlife from Mount Gede Pangrango. This waterfall is also said to fool someone easily. It is said that if you wash your face with the Curug Jaksa water, it will be easier to find a partner, stay young and eat healthier.

From there we returned to our villa for dinner, and yes, we grilled our chicken, corn, and all.
