The place I visited next in Bali is a very special symbol in Bali. It is also one of the most beautiful temples I have ever visited, Pura Ulun Danu Beratan Bedugul. Did you know that a picture of Pura Ulun Danu Beratan Bedugul is immortalized on the 50 thousand rupiah bill? The temple is also the second-largest in Bali. When you’re there, it’s pleasantly cool under the clouds. It’s one of my favorite places because it’s not too warm there even during the day.
Pura Ulun Danu Beratan Bedugul has the most extensive lake in Bedugul and a sacred temple that is very iconic. The view there is enchanting. You are looking at clear lake water that stretches far before your eyes. The water is so calm that the shadows, the trees, and the beautiful sky are reflected in it. It is really something uniquely beautiful created for your eye.
A short history of the Pura Ulun Danu Beratan Bedugul. It was built in Saka in 1556 by I Gusti Agung Putu. It got its name because it is used as a ceremony place for Dewi Danu. Dewi Danu is the goddess of water, lakes, and rivers. It is also used to pray for the fertility of agricultural land, the prosperity of the community, human welfare, and the preservation of nature. Everything should serve to avoid disasters.
Strange but true, Pura Ulun Danu Beratan Bedugul makes my heart calm with the legacy of the past and also with its very beautiful architecture. The charm that is present at Ulun Danu Beratan Temple Bedugul is different from other temples. If you want to take a boat there you can also take a look at the scenery to get closer and enjoy it. Whatever you see there will amaze you with the beauty in Bali Pura Ulun Danu Beratan Bedugul.
After traveling to Ulun Danu Temple Beratan Bedugul I headed for Pura Luhur Uluwatu.
At Pura Luhur Uluwatu there are many activities and stories to tell. My driver said that Pura Luhur Uluwatu is a famous tourist attraction abroad. This location is on a cliff with a height of 97 meters. You can have a view of the Indian Ocean on top that spoils the eye. The waves that hit the cliffs spoil the ears too ๐ You can watch an amazing sunset.
There are things that you must be aware of when you come to Pura Luhur Uluwatu, namely theft. Theft is not done by humans but is done by monkeys at Pura Luhur Uluwatu ๐ When you enter through the camel door you must dress appropriately. If you have only shorts, you will receive a long sheet there. Beyond the gate you will see a lush forest and yes – you will also see the famous long-tailed gray monkeys. But as I said, watch out for your valuables… Even with their cute faces they will steal and deceive you ๐ If your phone is stolen, you can only try to negotiate an exchange – good luck ๐
When I was there I watched the Kecak Dance Performance. It was wonderful. You can see the Ramayana themed Kecak dance with the Hanoman who is living there. The white Hanoman monkey is so beautiful. This evening you can see another magnificent sunset.
