The city of Columbus which is located in the Midwestern Ohio state is truly one of the beautiful and vibrant cities to visit. It’s the state capital and 2nd most populous city after Chicago in the Midwestern US. There are a ton of attractions to indulge yourselves in in this amazing city😊. There is no specific season and time to visit, you can go there anytime and every time you go you will find some of the other things to do. In short, you will not get bored. Columbus is only 2 hours away from my place, so whenever we get bored we go there. This place is like a second home for me.
Columbus offers so many great things to do, but in today’s blog, I will be writing about some of my favorite locations. Firstly, when in Columbus do visit The North Market. Whether you are looking for great food from international food stalls, coffee, juices, spices, ice creams, antiques, books, fish and meats, oils, and bottles of vinegar or nuts, you will find everything in one place👍. North Market has it all. Even if you don’t buy anything, just a stroll around the market is amazing and gives you a local feel😍. There are some benches and even a food court upstairs if you want to just sit and relax. This place also has some historical value, it was established in 1876 which is just mind-blowing. After browsing the market, you can head out and explore some wonderful and cute cafes which are just 10-15 minutes away. Few cafes which I love to visit because of their ambiance and great food are North Star Cafe, Tasi Cafe, and Fox In The Snow Cafe❤️. Visiting cafes is a perfect way to relax and hang out with your partner.
The other highlight of Columbus is The German Village. In the mid 19th century this neighborhood was settled by German immigrants. This place is full of history and fun. You will find a ton of things to do in this village. I would recommend taking a stroll around the village where you will observe an array of German architecture houses and brick streets😊. When you feel hungry or tired after a long stroll, there are some excellent restaurants, cute cafes and chocolate stores to spend some relaxing time👍. Also, there is the Book loft which has some excellent collections and we specifically loved the experience of exploring the loft. Here, you will find very famous books at a really cheap and good price.
Apart from these locations, there are so many other tourist attractions too which you will love. Some of them are Franklin Park Conservatory, Museum of Art, Topiary Park, Schiller Park, Ohio Statehouse and so much more. If you have time, I would recommend you to go see Easton Town Centre which is an open air mall and is truly huge and incredible. Here, you will find so many branded shops, amazing restaurants, and cafes, and many more fun things to do😍. This mall is totally lit up during Christmas time. Therefore, I will say Columbus is full of entertainment and fun.
