Well since this is my first blog, I would like to dedicate it to my first international trip which is to neighboring country Dubai, UAE.
Since childhood, we dream about visiting places outside our countries independently. We planned a self-sponsored trip for our own individuality and proud moments.
Yes, I traveled my first international trip in the month of January which is generally considered to be one of the best times to visit such warm countries. Not only the weather, all the sightseeing activities, festivals, and nightlife remains super active during these winter months.
My trip was of 3 days, however, I would recommend at least 5 days to visit this beautiful country. Its manmade infrastructure would leave you awestruck.
I stayed in Sofitel The Palm Hotel, at Palm Jumeirah, and to my luck just a kilometer away there was the beautiful Atlantis Hotel. Atlantis is the most luxurious hotel on Palm Jumeirah Island. The lighting at night does full justice to its beauty. One sight and you will fall in love with it. The only word that would occur to your mind looking at this hotel will be ‘wow!’.
Not only Atlantis, but Dubai also has many beautiful skyscrapers which will make you wonder what a man can create!
The World’s tallest skyscraper ‘Burj Khalifa’ is the most iconic place in Dubai. View from the top will give a breathtaking experience that will just stay in your memory.
After visiting Burj Khalifa Top, I saw beautiful fountain show. It was like water is playing and dancing like music. Lightings, timing and area coverage around the mall was so blissful to eyes.
During the trip, I also tried a few restaurants at La Mer, JBR beach, and Turkish Ice Cream at Dubai Mall. Honestly, I fell in love with Cheesecake & Factory restaurant at JBR. Cheesecakes, salad, and French fries are must-try dishes at this place. Everything was so good about that place….sitting, waiters, vibes, food, and budget food. One more wow factor!
I also ate this amazing fruit smoothy at Asai Xpress restaurant at La Mer. This smoothy is so filling that it can cover up your energy till the evening.
Keeping aside restaurants, Dubai is also famous for its Falafel and ancient Arabian flavors Hukkah. I tried Falafel in Meena Bazar, a market for all! Well, if you are reading this, please buy perfumes in bulk. This market has some magic.
Dubai is not only for sightseeing, its Desert Safari, longest Zipline, Sky diving and water sports will give you never before trilling experiences. I visited Desert safari. I must tell say that the way to the campsite will give you a rollercoaster ride. Ups and down in sand ocenes will be thrilling. Not only this, but activities at the campsite like belly dancing, fire shows, camel riding is also an added treat to your whole day activity.
Due to less number of days, I couldn’t visit a few places. But I would recommend to you some must-visit places I covered:
- Burj Khalifa
- Atlantis Hotel
- Desert Safari
- Marina Bay
- Gold Souk market
- La Mer
- Dubai Mall
- Cheesecake & Factory restaurant
- Global Village Festival (Dec-Feb months)
Dubai was not just a normal trip, it was a proud trip for me. Which i sponsored out of my money. Going to such beautiful country was indeed soul trip. So for me…Dubai is a must-visit place at least once for you all.
