Question 1: Why do you support a travel community?

Travel broadens our horizons and breaks down prejudices. No matter how a country is politically inclined or what attitudes are conveyed in the media, in the end, it is always about the local people. This is what makes the experience of a journey. And the people are fantastic around the globe. That is why we should travel around the world and get to know the people.

Question 2: What does travel mean for you? Is there perhaps an exciting story about your company?

Traveling is my life. I love to discover the world, sometimes I like to do it alone. I have been to many countries and met great people. It is especially interesting that fewer people have and possess, the more friendly and helpful they are. I have had many great experiences with people in different countries, so I don’t actually have a specific story to tell.

Question 3: Is sustainability important to you?

The topic is very important to me. When booking, I always make sure that my trip is as climate-neutral as possible. I have the same attitude also with my Onlineshop. Our wooden strips are produced sustainably, the shipping is climate-neutral and the packaging is made of recyclable and recycled material.

Question 4: What shouldn’t be missing on any trip?

The contact with the locals.

Question 5: How did your company grow? Can you remember a few moments in particular?

I bought a canvas and painted a world map on it. My friends liked it and wanted a map too. So in the beginning I painted world maps all night long until I took the risk to buy a printer to speed up the production.

Question 6: What makes you unique? Why should we keep you in mind?

With us, you can personalize your world map with your own sayings, quotes, and pictures, nobody else does that. Besides, our product is over 90% ecological. We are working on getting to 100%. We produce made in Germany. These are three strong arguments.

Question 7: In relation to the current situation – what chances do you see in the pandemic for the future? 🙂

Yes, that’s a nice way of putting it, you should always see the opportunities in any bad situation. Of course, these are difficult times, but compared to others we still have a “luxury problem”. For us we see the chance to come back stronger, I have the time to make optimizations at the moment. In general, it is a time of reflection, to be more grateful for the things that we have otherwise taken for granted, our friends, concerts, travel,…

Question 8: Which destination do you personally want to mark next on your world map and why?

Good question, on my list, is of course much where I would like to go. I think it also depends on where travel becomes possible again. However, I will only travel again when the general situation has relaxed. Of course, you can travel to countries at the moment, but I think it would be a wrong signal at the moment. If it is possible again I would like to make an expedition to the Antarctic, I would like to experience the peace and the endless ice.

Question 9: What is your vision for the future?

We would like to give people in all “travel countries” the opportunity to be inspired by our world map and to use it as your personal memory world map of life.

Question 10: What do you really want to tell the Traxplorio community?

Travel the world, get to know people, talk and write about them, but make all this sustainable and of course, mark your experiences on your personal world map of meine-weltkarte.com/en 😉
