Hey everyone, we are hoomies back with our next adventure as we promised. This was around September when we decided to go on a trip to Boston.

You must be wondering why Boston. So, my brother happened to be doing his internship and studying at MIT, Boston as a grad student. So, we decided to pay a visit and spend some quality time together.

So, the plan was my parents would be coming from New Delhi, and as I have already told I used to stay in Mangalore and decided to go solo from here to Boston.

There are two ways you can plan your travel from Mangalore.

    • – Or you can fly to Bangalore and then take a flight to Dubai.
      – One is you can either book yourself a direct flight to Dubai and then from Dubai to Boston.

The thing here is if you take a flight from Mangalore it goes to a completely different terminal in Dubai and then it goes a lot of changing terminals to catch the next flight. So, you can plan accordingly.

From New Delhi lots of options are available. You can either go to Boston via Dubai, Qatar, or even via London and many more. We choose to fly via Emirates, Dubai, and then to Boston.

My family and I had planned to meet at the Dubai Airport and then fly together to Boston via Emirates. It was a 3 hour 5o minutes flight to Dubai and around a 14-hour flight to Boston Logan International Airport. The flight was really good and comfortable.

We reached Boston in the morning. After passing through the immigration counter and all the security checks to took our luggage and proceeded to the exit gate. My brother had come to pick us at the airport already.

The Logan Airport was quite huge and pretty good. Lots of options for food available.

Lots of facilities are available at the airport for transfer to the city. You can book rental cars, taxis, subways, and even local buses are available. This can be booked online or can be booked at the Airport itself at a little higher rate.

Tip: Only Uber is available at the Airport and even in the entire Boston city but for that, you need to have an International credit or debit card to pay in Dollars as soft currency is not accepted.

Boston is the capital city of Massachusetts in the United States and the most populous city here and in New England. It is one of the oldest municipalities in the United States.

It is a thriving center of scientific research. It has a lot of colleges and universities making it a leader in higher education. It takes pride in its rich history and is one of the oldest cities in America.

Known popularly as Beantown owning to the Boston Baked Beans, a dish that was created during the colonial times.

The city is amazing, a walkable place with various exciting neighborhoods. General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport serves as the gateway for international tourists to reach Boston.  There are countless things to do in Boston and this is beautifully connected to supporting the arts.

Sometimes called a “city of neighborhoods” because of the profusion of diverse subsections.  The Charles River separates Boston from the majority of Cambridge. There are countless things to do here.
