Till date, I have written about so many different cities or places I visited, but today I will be writing about the city ( Pittsburgh ) in which I live. Pittsburgh is also known as The Steel City for its 300 steel businesses or The City of Bridges for its somewhat 400 bridges👍. It is a wonderful and vibrant place to visit at least once in a lifetime❤️. Whether you’re looking for varieties of food, history, amazing resorts and hotels, lush greeneries, and shopping, this city has so much to offer. I am living here for 5 years now but still can’t get over this place☺️. Every time when I decide to go explore this place, I find something new and interesting to do here.
Strip District– So many years before this place was an industrial neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Later on, they converted these old industries and factories into a shopping area. You will find many grocery stores of different countries, fish markets, amazing cafes and restaurants, chocolate shops to buy some for your loved ones, independent street shops, spices, sweets and so much more🥰. Once you explored and enjoyed this fun place, do visit the John Heinz History Center which is nestled in the same neighborhood and here you will get to see so many amazing exhibits and even the history of Heinz Tomato Ketchup, which is said to be originated in Pittsburgh.
Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens– Here you will come across so many beautiful flowers and plant species, which feels very pleasant to your eyes and even adds so much more to your knowledge. They also organize some shows every year such as Spring Flowers Show, the Japanese Flowers Show, and Christmas Flowers Show. These are some of the shows that we attended. Holiday lights are a highlight of this place and worth visiting❤️. This conservatory is situated in the Schenley Park area. This is a large and lush park, where you can do a picnic, read books, and hang out with your buddy.
The Point State Park– The place where the three rivers named Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio meets is called The Point and the surrounding park is known as the Point State Park. The highlight of the park is a wonderful and huge fountain, you can sit around the fountain and click some photos. There’s also a Fort Pitt Museum in the park if you love history👍. Apart from this, you can walk, sit back and relax, read books, and do a picnic.
Mount Washington– It is a hilly place in Pittsburgh from where you can get an exceptional view of the downtown. There are also few upscale and romantic restaurants with a perfect views💕. The main part of Mount Washington is Duquesne Incline which takes you up and down the mountain. The round trip is $5 and it’s totally worth it. The views that you get while in the incline is breathtaking.
Apart from these main attractions, there are also a ton of other things to do in Pittsburgh. You can visit Pittsburgh Zoo And PPG Aquarium, National Aviary, Carnegie Science Center, Cathedral of Learning, Few Museums, and much more😊. There are also Dining and Sightseeing Cruises in Pittsburgh. If you’re interested you can book that too. It’s an amazing way to spend time with your sweetheart and family too💚. There are also a few State Parks which are at driving distance from Pittsburgh if you’re a nature lover and love hiking. One of the parks is Ohio Pyle State Park. How can you miss bridges when in Pittsburgh!! There are a few amazing bridges where you can walk and take pictures.
Last but not least there are few Shopping Malls for shopping lovers😍. One of them is Ross Park Mall.
When it comes to accommodation, there are so many amazing resorts, hotels, and B&Bs. If you have any questions please do comment.
