Hey everyone, we are Hoomiesclub. Hope everyone is doing good and is in great health. Today in this very blog we will be continuing our trip further all the way from Kwantu towards Oudtshoorn via the very famous Garden Route.

Following a really nice, pleasant stay in Kwantu, we had to leave the very next day in the morning. It was supposed to be a very tiring day for us. Just all about traveling. As you pass through, the entire route is all about beautiful landscape and amazing beauty.

It takes around 5 hours and more to reach Oudtshoorn. It is about 450 km from Kwantu. You need to make a stop in the middle of the journey as you pass through.

We started our journey early in the morning after a nice healthy breakfast at the resort. Followed by this we had to pick some of our friends who were to join us for the further trip. So, we passed through the route to reach Port Elizabeth.

From here we finally started our journey towards Cape Town.

In order to reach Cape Town, it’s actually a very long journey so it’s better to stay back in Oudtshoorn for the night and then start from here towards Cape Town.

In order to reach Oudtshoorn from the nearest airport “Port Elizabeth”, there are four ways to get here.

  • By car: 382 km takes around 4 and half hour
  • By bus: the journey time is around 7 and half hours. It’s a comparatively slower route. There are three buses than run weekly so it’s better to check the schedule and book in advance. They drop you at George which is the nearest station. The schedule varies for the weekends and holidays.
  • By flight

You can even reach Knysna which is about 92 km from Oudtshoorn. You will get various options to stay in here based on your budget. Though all the hotels situated in both Oudtshoorn and Knysna are pretty amazing. The properties and even the stay are just wonderful.
