Top 10 Google Questions answered
1. Where to travel in Corona time?
Many governments are currently issuing travel warnings. There are border controls and non-essential tourist travel is discouraged. This is due to the well-founded fear of the mutations of the coronavirus. Nevertheless, it has already been proven several times that deliberate and careful travel poses a significantly lower risk of infection than other everyday activities. If you are in an area with a high incidence of infection, however, it is more advisable (even if it is very hard) not to travel for the time being. In this way you can help to ensure that tourism in your country will soon be possible again and that the people there can earn money for their livelihood.
However, if circumstances allow and you also don’t have a problem with precautions such as corona testing or a short quarantine at your destination, travel is absolutely possible. But make sure that you always check with the official institution of the respective country beforehand!
Currently, the following countries are considered green zones:
- Saudi Arabia (Middle East)
- Rwanda (Africa)
- Iceland (Europe)
- Australia (Asia Pacific)
- New Zealand (Asia Pacific)
- Bhutan (Asia Pacific)
- Singapore (Asia Pacific)
- South Korea (Asia Pacific)
- India (Asia Pacific)
- Mongolia (Asia Pacific)
- Trinidad & Tobago (Americas)
If you can wait a little longer, however, we recommend planning ahead. For this purpose, we have monitored various developments and compiled a list with our recommendations for the 10 safest countries to visit in 2021.

3. Can Corona travel through AC?
4. Can Corona travel through cigarette smoke?
The smoker is clearly more at risk of getting Corona. This is due to the obvious reason that one cannot wear a mask while smoking and the other reason that smoking is generally harmful and therefore a corona infection is more likely to be more serious than for non-smokers.
Now let’s move on to the passive smokers. Do you wonder whether you can get infected with Covid-19 from secondhand smoke?
It has been proven that the virus can be transmitted through smoke over a greater distance. However, you should not worry too much if you follow the usual distance rules. In general, regardless of Covid-19, you should stay away from secondhand smoke, as this is not a new finding regarding disease transmission.
Further questions in this context concern the transmission of covid-19 via the following ways:
- Clothes (Very low risk)
- Eyes (Advice: Wash your hands before touching your eyes)
- Walls (No evidence)
- Blood (Very low risk)
- Air (Yes that’s the main cause for an infection)
5. What travel insurance covers Corona?
While in 2019 and 2020 some people were caught unprepared by Corona and were left with their costs, in 2021 there are now numerous ways to protect yourself.
We recommend you pay particular attention to the following 3 points:
- Covid Medical Coverage (medical expenses due to a possible Covid-19 infection during your travels)
- Covid Trip Cancellation Coverage
- And very important – “For Any Reason Cancellation” Coverage (Maybe you can’t travel to a certain country because of those countries restrictions or something like that)
Make sure to watch the level of those benefits and what is included (or excluded!).
Each country has its own excellent and affordable insurance providers. A top international provider with attractive conditions is AXA, which has been specializing in travel insurance for many years.
6. Is train travel allowed during Coronavirus?
Within countries, it is allowed in almost all countries worldwide. Of course, you must follow the hygiene and distance rules and wear a mask.
When you travel from country to country, there are very different rules here. In some countries, entry by air is even easier and less strict.
We recommend that you check the websites of the public transport companies, as they often provide more detailed information than the government websites.
7. Can I get a Covid-19 test for travel?
The easiest way is currently to book a packaged tour. In most cases, the costs for a test (before entry/at the airport or in the destination country) are already included.
Alternatively, you can always check the website of your local health department. The websites of airports and airlines are also good sources of information.
Basically, you can say that the major airports around the world are now very well prepared and there are often enough tests available. However, these are usually then available for an additional charge. The more favorable alternative is usually to have a test done before the trip itself.

9. When is it safe to travel during Covid-19?
Of course, no general statement can be made here. Current trends show that it will probably be possible to travel again after the Easter vacations. This will allow countries to avoid the big rush and make it easier to implement safety concepts. In addition, it may then be even easier to change and readjust certain processes. In all considerations, the safety of the general public must be paramount in order to avoid a relapse and renewed outbreaks. We have all suffered from the aftermath of the pandemic for so long now… we must not let it be in vain.
It is currently also completely manageable to travel safely. However, it cannot be denied that every trip still brings with it a small additional risk. But this risk can also occur in one’s own country during other activities. In conclusion, it is a matter of consideration and must be taken into account on a case-by-case basis. We still recommend you to look a little ahead and plan from April/May onwards.
