What Is Vichy?

The name ‘Vichy’ might sound familiar to you and it’s most probably because of the skincare brand of the same name.

Vichy – AKA Mineral 89 – is known for its numerous skincare benefits. It moisturizes the skin and improves its texture, reduces all sorts of pores and facial blemishes, strengthens the skin’s barrier function, and protects it from outside pollution.

Well, what the brand and this hot springs resort have in common is their abundance of this magnificent mixture of Mineralizing Water and Hyaluronic Acid that people nicknamed ‘Vichy.’
These beneficial properties make Vichy Springs Resort one of the most unique natural baths out there. Not to mention the fact that this is the only facility that offers baths with these types of qualities in the entire continent of North America.

All You Need To Know

Even if one might think that these natural baths have a relatively humble appearance compared to other commercialized hot springs, you’ll be fascinated to know that said baths date way back to 1854 (making it a facility that’s been functioning for 169 years, *gasp*) and have hosted some real OG celebrities such as Mark Twain and Teddy Roosevelt. The resort is maintaining its historical value by keeping the look undisturbed and, honestly, with their incredibly unique healing properties, appearance does take a backseat.

Vichy Springs Resort offers quite a few soaking options: an Olympic size swimming pool (only available in summertime), an in-ground hot pool, carbonated ‘Vichy’ baths that they also call ‘Champagne Baths’, and Chemisal Falls Pool that is located on the 700-acre private territory.

As we already mentioned, this facility unites a Country Inn as well as a hot springs resort. It is available both for day use and overnight guests.

Rates for cottages also include full use of all soaking options, breakfast, massage, facials, and a hot stone massage, all of which are available daily from 8 am to 8 pm.

Here’s the full list of the resort features:

  • Twelve Mountain View rooms with one queen or two twin beds
  • Five CreekSide rooms with one queen bed each
  • The Applewood Suite with two queen beds
  • One and two-bedroom cottages with queen and twin beds
  • Private bathrooms
  • WiFi
  • In-room direct dial phones with local calls free and voicemail
  • Japanese-style futons are available for additional guests
  • Use of the famous “champagne” mineral baths & hot soaking pool
  • Use of Olympic size swimming pool during daylight hours in season
  • Use of the beautiful 700-acre reserve with trails for walking & hiking
  • A full breakfast buffet is served every morning in the dining room
