Ohh New York, you are so vibrant and beautiful. It was my childhood dream to visit NYC once in a lifetime. I have had seen this place in so many movies, so it was my dream destination and my husband’s too😍. After marriage, when I moved here in the US it becomes easy for me to go see this place. It’s 6 hours drive from our place, so we buckled up and hit the road. Finally, we were there “The New York City”❤️. We planned a 3 days trip and stayed at a B&B located in Brooklyn. We reached New York by night, so we just crashed after a long drive.
On the first morning, we picked coffee and croissants for breakfast from Starbucks and headed straight to Brooklyn Bridge which is a popular bridge in NYC and was built somewhere around 1883. This bridge connects the borough of Brooklyn to Manhattan. We really enjoyed walking across the bridge and the views that you get of the Manhattan from the bridge is spectacular👍. This place is usually crowded, but as we went there in the morning we encountered less crowd. If you love sunsets, you should head there in the evening to witness an amazing sunset😊. In Manhattan, we strolled through some streets to get to know more about the city. Later we headed to the Grand Central Station as we heard a lot about it. There are so many famous shops to shop and also some small restaurants or cafes inside the station. We had some Danish Open Sandwiches for lunch which was delicious and also tried out some desserts❤️.
After the lunch, we decided to explore the famous Fifth Avenue which is a shopaholics paradise. There are an array of upscale branded shops on the fifth. If you don’t want to shop, just a walk through the avenue is worth to experience its charm. We visited this place called St. Patrick’s Cathedral on the fifth avenue which was really peaceful and spiritual. The architecture and the intrinsic designs inside the Cathedral is stunning.

Later on, we rushed to the Empire State Building as we had a booking for that evening. We made to the 86th floor of the building and the views that we got to see of the NYC was stunning and jaw-dropping☺️. It was an other worldly experience for me. But, if you want to capture Empire Building in a frame then head to another observation decks that NYC has to offer. Late evening, we decided to spend our time at qpopular tourist attraction, the Times Square. Times Square is best after sunset, you will get stunned by the flashy billboards❤️. This place has a lot to offer from so many restaurants to upscale shops where you can spend hours shopping😍. I recommend to go for Mexican restaurant called Los Tacos No.1 which is located in Times Square if you are into Tacos👍.

Next day, we had a booking for the famous Statue of Liberty tour. Tickets are $21 per adult for a boat tour from New York to Liberty Island and back and it also includes an adjacent Ellis Island. We had an amazing time on a ferry and enjoyed walking around the park on the island🥰. You can start clicking pictures of the Lady Liberty from the boat itself, which offers a great view👍. There’s a gift shop and some food stalls on the island. We skipped the Ellis Island as we were running late, but if you’re a history buff you must visit this place. Ellis Island was the busiest harbor for immigrant inspection. Later in the evening after the tour we decided to just hangout at Times Square.

There are many more things to do in New York, but as we were there for just 2 days we got to cover only few things. If you’re staying for a longer duration you can go to Chelsea market for great shopping and food experience, Rockefeller Centre, One Point Observatory, few locally owned markets, upscale malls and last but not the least to watch a show at some famous theaters in Times Square. If you’re interested to know about the Christmas in New York, I will be covering it in my future blogs❤️.
