Because of the large amount of sulfur in the springs, the water has a white tint and a sulfurous odor. If you’re not comfortable with that you can just opt for their chlorinated lap pool and swim there to your heart’s content.

You should expect one primitive rock walled pool situated on the banks of the Colorado River that’s bordered by cliffs on one side. It’s only big enough for two people and has a lukewarm temperature ranging between 95-98°F. Despite its small size, Radium is still an extremely appealing destination and very much loved by locals.

If you’re a sporty person then you should definitely go on a rafting trip along the Colorado river, or just kayak and tube there.
