PLACES TO VISIT IN BOSTON CITY
Hey everyone, we are hoomies back with the next part of our Boston trip. In the previous post, we mentioned this beautiful city and about the stay. Here we will be talking about the places you can visit in Boston city.
The next day we got up a bit late as we were jet-lacked.
We got freshened up, cooked ourselves a great breakfast. We decided to go around the city and see what’s in store. We booked us an Uber and decided to head over to New England Aquarium. Opposite to this is an I-Max 3D theatre.
THE NEW ENGLAND AQUARIUM
This amazing aquarium is located in Boston, Massachusetts. Along with this are a beautiful Simons Imax Theatre and the New England Aquarium Whale Watch. This is one of the very commonly visited places here. It hosts around 1.3 million visitors each year. It was opened in 1969 and covers a land area of around 7000-meter square.
As you enter the place located in the central open atrium is the Giant Ocean tank. It’s a cylindrical-shaped 2000,000 US-gallon tank simulating a Caribbean coral reef. The tank is a major attraction here. This tank houses sea turtles, bonnet-head sharks, stingrays, and vary many fishes and marine lives. The tank is open at the top and is surrounded by a walkway that spirals down and allows visitors to access this amazing tank and offers views of the reef from every angle and level.
It is a great experience. At the bottom level is a large square where you get to see penguins. These penguins live on several artificial rock islands. You can get to watch the daily training sessions of these marine mammals as it is open to public viewing.
There are lots of events available at the Aquarium. So you can plan accordingly and enjoy your day.
Around the months of April to October, the aquarium hosts a whale watch cruise. These ships whisk the watchers to a 48 km east of Boston called the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. You can get to see large diversities of whales. This trip lasts for 3-4 hours.
Monday to Thursday: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Friday: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Saturday to Sunday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
For Whale Watching, tickets can be purchased either at the ticket booth at the New England Aquarium Whale Watch or can be booked online on their official websites.

You need to buy tickets depending on your interest. The four options available being:

Washrooms and food cafes are available at the aquarium. You can even get your own food and have it outside at the picnic tables.
It was a really nicely experience and enjoyed our day at the Aquarium. Loved watching the beauty of marine mammals. You can easily spend 4-5 hours here. Even the kids love it. A must visits in Boston.
We were quite tired after the Aquarium and decided to head back to our rooms. We ordered ourselves a good lunch and went off to sleep. Later in the evening we headed over to enjoy a nice walk in and around the city.
The next day, we had booked ourselves a Duck Tour to enjoy some of the famous places in Boston. We reached at the same place and got into the Duck to enjoy our time in here.
