Paris Van Java

Paris Van Java

Today I would like to take you on a walk in West Java. It goes to the city of Bandung, alias Paris Van Java. That’s what the Dutch call this city of flowers. But why is it called Paris Van Java? Maybe because it’s a bit cooler, like in the beautiful city of Paris – I honestly don’t know πŸ˜€ But this city is in Indonesia πŸ™‚ Bandung has some of the best places for vacation or sightseeing.

Let me introduce the area I like to visit, namely the Lembang area. Lembang is very famous for producing cow’s milk with the best quality in my opinion – because it is very fresh. Not only that, but Lembang is also famous for producing tea. We had a look at milk production.

So I am in Bandung for only 2 days (1 night). The first place I went to is the Farmhouse Susu Lembang. We started hiking in the morning so we could get there in the afternoon. At Farmhouse Susu Lembang you can rent Holland, Indian, Cowboy, and Hobbit costumes. Most will certainly choose the Hobbit costume πŸ˜‰ I have also decided for it. Before I put on the costume I went to the Backyard Kitchen for some lunch. I was very hungry after the hike. The food was super tasty! After that, I quickly put on the costume and went to the “My Secret Garden” area.

My Secret Garden is thematically very nicely designed. There is a small dwarf house made of wood and many leaves in the outer area – this can of course be explored. There is a lot to see here because the area is 1700 meters. You can always find new beautiful places that offer great photo opportunities. I love that there are even officers here to help you take pictures πŸ™‚ A funny story is that I had already sat down and was ready to be photographed…. when a little kid ran into the picture and wanted a picture along with me. Eventually, he thought I was a model because I had a costume on πŸ˜› You can really take a lot of pictures here…. so it will be a busy day πŸ˜› I especially like pictures with a view of the mountains.

Later we went to Sudirman Street Day and Night Market for dinner. My friends came too and we drank just a little alcohol. It was raining that night, so we warmed up a bit by drinking alcohol πŸ˜› – even if it’s just soju. When I arrived at the rest area, the atmosphere was a little scary because tomorrow we were walking back to Jakarta, and I went straight to sleep to rest.

The next day, I and my friends had breakfast. After that, we went on to Dago Dream Park, but when I was there, only a few of the rides were open… but the lines were still very long. This was also, unfortunately, our last day. We didn’t take that many pictures.

The trip to Jakarta had to wait a bit because we found a nice little cafe. One Eighty Coffee and Music. But why did this cafe catch our attention? Because you can put your feet in cool water there and relax for a short while. I love the atmosphere in this little cafe. The outdoor area with lots of trees and a pool is beautiful πŸ™‚

When I arrived in Jakarta, it was late, and I was very tired, but running with my friends made me happy.
