Welcome to Europe

Europe is probably the continent that offers you as a traveller the most diverse range of impressions in terms of culture, cuisine, history and architecture.

What makes Europe special?

Europe consists of 49 countries. That is less than the states of America, but there is no other place in the world where so many different languages (more than 60!) are spoken in such a relatively small geographic area! In Europe you are being understood.

Why you should travel to Europe

Europe is always worth a visit. Whether you are a nature lover, passionate food-traveller, history enthusiast, artist, architecture fan, activity addict or just want to relax. Europe offers countless different ways to make your next trip unforgettable!

A short history lesson

Europe has been populated at least since the Paleolithic Age. In ancient times, Greek and later Roman culture dominated. During the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) France became the most powerful state on the continent. In the 19th century the rise of the bourgeoisie began with the beginning of industrialisation. The nation states emerged. The various conflicts resulted in the First World War (1914-1918). The Second World War, with its over 50 million deaths and the racist genocides committed by Germany, was the last major war in Europe up to this day. The fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union marked the beginning of the democratization process in the East. Many of the new reform states would like to join the EU, whose vision is a federally organised Europe.

Sights

If you google "most beautiful city of the world", you are likely to find a city in europe being ranked first. No other continent has such a number of impressive sights. Be it the Colosseum in Rome, the Eiffel Tower in Paris or the Sagrada Familia n Barcelona. European cities are absolutely unique in the world! Europe is also home to the world's largest number of cultural heritages - 440! No matter which country in Europe you choose, you will definitely find a place to go to.

Nature

One might think that due to its dense population and the large number of sights, Europe leaves little room for the beauty of nature. But you thought wrong! In total there are more than 300 national parks in Europe. The largest European national park is the Jugyd Wa National Park with 1,891,700 ha. The beautiful landscapes from Austria and Switzerland are known worldwide and are on top of many bucket lists! Moreover, the origin of pilgrimage is in Europe! Hiking enthusiasts will therefore get fully satisfied in Europe and can live in harmony with nature.

Food and Beverages

The great variety of Europe is also reflected in the national cuisines. Europeans are very different. But they know and love each other for their cultural diversity. This boosts creativity. A very prominent example and great result of this diversity - the Döner Kebab - actually a Turkish invention - began its triumphal march from the immigrant quarters of Berlin to the whole world in the 1970s. Whoever appreciates good food and likes to be surprised will love Europe!
